Halloween Cupcake Decorations

Hi all,

So today I did not do any baking, but I made some little decorations out of gum paste for the tops of the Halloween cupcakes I will be making for Dad's employees.

I have mini cookie cutters in the shapes of a bat, the moon, a skull, a cat, a ghost, and a pumpkin. So I cut those shapes out of the gum paste.
I then painted them to look the part!
They were really fun to make and super easy!
Just in case you are wondering....The black lines on the moon are bats.

Halloween Cupcakes (Trial Run)

For Halloween Dad asked me to make cupcakes for his employees. So this is what I came up with. This is just a trial run to make sure the recipes are good and it helps me with ideas.

Ok so this is the vanilla chocolate chip cupcake batter. I added black food coloring.
The color worked really well!

This is the orange butter cream icing for the black cupcakes.

Thanksgiving Cupcakes!

Okay so for Thanksgiving I wanted to make a cupcake that incorporated fall colors and just pretty delicate things that make you think of Fall and Thanksgiving.

The batter is Chocolate Brownie (It was really yummy!)

Here they are baked

The frosting is Coffee Butter Cream. In the little bowl is coffee mixed with coffee liqueur.
Mixing the coffee with the icing
This is fondant. I am using it to make leaves and pumpkins for the lops of the cupcakes. I used stencils to trace them.
After I cut the shapes out I painted them with food coloring.
Once I put the icing on the cupcakes I placed the decorations on top.
Done!
I have a cupcake holder so I used that to hold the cupcakes (obviously!) then just to add a little bit more Fall decoration I put a scarecrow on the top. This was an easy simple presentation, but it made it just that extra special!
This recipe was very easy! It also tasted delicious. Just a quick note, I only put a little swirl of icing in the middle because it was very rich.

I hope you all enjoyed this first recipe :D

Welcome!

Hey everyone!

I've made this blog so that you can all check in and see what I have baked. I love to bake, and in fact I am pursuing it for a career. I hope you all enjoy, and please feel free to leave comments or suggestions!
