Christmas Oreo Lollipops!

So I saw something similar to this on the internet, so I thought that this would be super fun to make for Christmas. These were so easy to make. I hope you enjoy these holiday Oreo Lollipops!

First I put one whole package of Oreo cookies in the food processor. Then I added cream cheese.

Made little balls and put them on sticks.
I bought different coloured chocolate then melted it.
Dip the Oreo lollipop in the chocolate!
Green, Yellow, White, Blue
Making fancy lines with the left over chocolate.

Chocolate Caramel Tart

The other night I so this tart on TV. It looked so good I had to try it! I did not have an actually recipe for this so I had to pull a bunch of recipes together and make them into one dessert. We had it for dessert tonight, and it was really yummy, but filling!

It starts with an Oreo crumb crust.
Then comes a thick layer of creamy thick caramel!
Then a layer of chocolate ganache!

Yum!
It went in the fridge for a bit to set. Then I added sea salt to the top.

Gooey and Delicious!

Lemon and Cranberry Loaf

Sorry that I haven't posted anything lately. I just haven't had the time do bake anything.
Alrighty, so this dessert is something we have every year at Christmas. It is really yummy, so here it is.

So we start with a lemon batter.
Then we add a bunch of cranberries!
Once they came out of the oven, I put a lemon glaze on top. Just lemon juice and sugar. It's really good.
This is really easy to make and just so delicious!

Recipes

If you ever want to try a recipe for yourself, please let me know and I will send it to you right away.

Remembrance Day Cake

I got a recipe from my Oma for a lemon poppy seed cake. It sounded delicious so I had to make it! My Aunt Michèle then sent me an email giving me some suggestions for cupcake ideas. She mentioned I could make something for Remembrance Day. My family and I went out to dinner tonight to my grandparents house so I thought that this all worked perfectly. I would make the dessert!
I decided to make a cake instead of cupcakes, because I thought it would be a nice change to work on a bigger piece.
Hope you enjoy!

Lemon Poppy Seed Cake!
The cake baked.
Cooking the Lemon Curd that goes between the cake layers.
Spreading on the Lemon Curd!
Putting the cake together
The icing is made of the leftover Lemon Curd and whipped cream. It is very light and doesn't make the cake rich!
Since it is a Remembrance Day cake I decided to make a Poppy for the top of the cake. I cut out and formed petals made of gum paste.
Placing the petals on top! The pile of lemon zest is make the petals a little higher than the top of the cake.
Once the petals were placed on the cake, I put a pile of poppy seeds in the middle to look like....well the poppy seeds. I put lemon zest around the edge to make it a little more decorative.
The finished product!
Success!
I have to say, I think this is my new favorite cake recipe! It was wonderful! Thank you Oma for sending it!

Halloween Cupcake Decorations

Hi all,

So today I did not do any baking, but I made some little decorations out of gum paste for the tops of the Halloween cupcakes I will be making for Dad's employees.

I have mini cookie cutters in the shapes of a bat, the moon, a skull, a cat, a ghost, and a pumpkin. So I cut those shapes out of the gum paste.
I then painted them to look the part!
They were really fun to make and super easy!
Just in case you are wondering....The black lines on the moon are bats.

Halloween Cupcakes (Trial Run)

For Halloween Dad asked me to make cupcakes for his employees. So this is what I came up with. This is just a trial run to make sure the recipes are good and it helps me with ideas.

Ok so this is the vanilla chocolate chip cupcake batter. I added black food coloring.
The color worked really well!

This is the orange butter cream icing for the black cupcakes.
